今日きょうは、朝あさから雨あめが降ふっていました。
It had been raining since this morning.

ねこのニコは、窓まどの前まえに立たっていました。
Nico the cat was standing in front of the window.

窓まどの隙間すきまから、ひんやりした風かぜが吹ふいてきました。
A cool breeze came in through a small gap in the window.

ニコは、ゆっくりと前足まえあしを一歩いっぽ、ぺた。
Nico slowly reached out one paw. Tap.

足あしの裏うらが、冷つめたくなりました。
The bottom of his paw became cold.

ニコは、部屋へやに戻もどりました。
Nico went back into the room.

床ゆかには、小ちいさな濡ぬれた足跡あしあとが、ぽつん、ぽつん。
On the floor, there were small wet paw prints, scattered here and there.

ニコは、しっぽを振ふりました。
Nico flicked his tail.

そして、やわらかいタオルの上うえで丸まるくなって、静しずかに目めを閉とじました。
Then he curled up on the soft towel and quietly closed his eyes.
